Press Release: SolTrans and Transdev Invite Community to Washington Park Clean-Up

Vallejo, CA — SolTrans, in partnership with its operations contractor Transdev, invites the public to join a community park clean-up at Washington Park on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The clean-up will take place at Washington Park, 900 Ohio St, Vallejo, CA 94590.

 

The event is open to everyone in the community who wants to lend a hand in beautifying one of Vallejo’s central parks. Luis Baca, Transdev’s Safety Manager, will lead the initiative, driven by his desire to give back to the community that relies on public transportation to get where they need to go every day.

 

“We want to do more than move people—we want to uplift the spaces they live and play in,” said Baca. “This clean-up is one small way to show our appreciation for the community.”

 

SolTrans and Transdev staff will be on-site to assist, and gloves and bags will be provided to all volunteers. Whether you ride the bus daily or just want to support a cleaner Vallejo, everyone is encouraged to stop by, roll up their sleeves, and make a difference.

 

Solano County Transit (SolTrans) has been the public transportation provider for south Solano County since July 2011.SolTrans provides local and SolanoExpress fixed routes and complementary paratransit. The agency is a Joint Powers Authority (JPA) governed by a six-member Board of Directors, composed of two representatives from the cities of Benicia and Vallejo, Solano County’s representative on the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC),and a representative from the Solano Transportation Authority.
