Request for Public Comment: Service Realignment Proposals

SolTrans is requesting public comment on the Service Realignment Proposals.Public comment is open from April 20- May 18, 2023.To comment on the proposed route and service changes fill out the survey below. SolTrans staff will also be hosting outreach community events to gather public comment.

Press Release: SolTrans Breaks Ground on Electrification Infrastructure

Solano County, CA- Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 10 a.m. Solano County Transit’s (SolTrans) Board of Directors, with Congressman John Garamendi, and project partners PG&E, WSP, and Patriot Construction will break ground on the construction of the Electrification Infrastructure at the SolTrans Operations and Maintenance Facility in Vallejo, CA. This groundbreaking kicks off the agency’s plan to transition to all 100% zero-emission buses.

On Saturday, March 18, SolTrans will celebrate Transit Worker Appreciation Day, with the rest of the nation. Transit Worker Appreciation Day is a day that recognizes the men and women who show up daily to ensure we arrive safely at the places and people we love.

Benicia Transportation Summit

SolTrans andSolano Mobility, along with Benicia Mayor Young and Vice Mayor Scott, will host a Transportation Summit to raise awareness of transit options for Benicia residents. Staff will present on all things transportation for Benicia and beyond, and answer all your questions about local transportation options including bus service, ADA Paratransit Services, and on-demand ride-share programs. Free Rides for Transit Equity Day

To celebrate and honor the iconic Rosa Parks and her contributions to the civil rights movement, SolTrans will not collect fares on Local, SolanoExpress (Blue, Red, and Yellow), and Paratransit services on February 4 – Rosa Parks’ birthday.

Press Release: Thompson, Garamendi Present $2 Million Check to SolTrans for Electric Buses

Vallejo – This week,Reps. Mike Thompson (CA-04) and John Garamendi (CA-08)presented a $2 million check to officials from Solano County Transit (SolTrans) for the 100 percent Battery Electric Commuter Coaches project. This funding was secured in the Fiscal Year 2023 government funding bill.

Tom Arie Donch boasts an impressive resume in the art world as a sculptor, specifically in public art, spanning over 30 years with projects all over the country. Tom owned and operated Interplay Designs company based here in Vallejo, that worked with municipalities to help them create art for their public spaces.

Lorenzo was raised in Oakland and found his love of art at an early age. Unfortunately, he did not get much of a formal introduction to art in school. He went to barber school in the early 1990s and found an outlet for some of his creativity via cutting hair.
