Press Release: SolTrans and Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano to Host Annual “Treat Yourself”

Solano County, CA–Solano County Transit (SolTrans), in partnership with Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano, will host the annual “Treat Yourself” Resource Fair for unhoused and at-risk community members on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 1–4 p.m. at the Vallejo Transit Center, 311 Sacramento St., Vallejo, CA 94590.

This year, SolTrans and their contractor, Transdev, are going a step further by collecting basic needs and monetary donations to provide 500 shelf-stable food bags to attendees. Each bag costs $10 to assemble, and the goal is to provide all 500this year—a significant increase from the 125 bags distributed in 2024.

“The ‘Treat Yourself’ Resource Fair is a beautiful example of what happens when community partners come together to walk alongside our most vulnerable neighbors, offering not just resources, but hope. We are grateful to SolTrans, Transdev, and our generous community for helping us expand this event and ensure that hundreds of individuals feel seen, supported, and valued this holiday season.”

“Treat Yourself” is designed to connect individuals who are unhoused or at risk of becoming unhoused with critical services that are often difficult to access. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive mobile haircuts, mobile showers, medical care through a mobile clinic, and a warm meal, along with many other supportive resources that promote dignity, care, and community.

“In collaboration with community partners, Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano and SolTrans are proud to create a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees,” said Beth Kranda, SolTrans Executive Director. “We are especially grateful to our staff, Transdev, and the generous community members who are helping us reach our goal of providing 500 food bags this year. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of our most vulnerable neighbors.”
