Reminder: “Treat Yourself” Resource Fair for Unhoused and At-Risk Community Members October 21

Solano County, CA –Solano County Transit (SolTrans) and Catholic Charities Yolo-Solano are preparing for the annual  “Treat Yourself” Resource Fair on Wednesday, Wednesday, October 21, from 1–4 p.m. at the Vallejo Transit Center,  311 Sacramento Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.

The “Treat Yourself” event is designed to provide essential services and care for individuals who are unhoused or at risk  of becoming unhoused. Attendees will have access to mobile haircuts, showers, medical care, and a warm meal—along  with other resources that promote dignity, comfort, and connection during the holiday season.

In the spirit of community giving, SolTrans and its contractor Transdev are once again collecting items and monetary  donations to support the event. This year’s goal is to provide 500 shelf-stable food bags, each valued at $10, for  attendees—a notable increase from the 300 bags distributed last year.

The “Treat Yourself” event has already received major contributions from the Vallejo Rotary Club, the Vallejo Executive  Lions Club, and other generous community members like the Vallejo Smart & Final, totaling more than $4,800 toward  this year’s effort. However, donations are still being accepted to help reach the 500-bag goal. Community members are  also encouraged to drop off new socks, pajamas, blankets, hygiene products and gently used or new coats at the Vallejo  Transit Center Ticket Office to help prepare those in need for the colder months ahead.

“We are truly moved by the generosity of our community and partners who continue to show up to support our most  vulnerable neighbors,” said Beth Kranda, SolTrans Executive Director. “Each donation—large or small—helps ensure that  everyone who attends this event receives kindness and care. Together, we can make a real difference.”

For more information about the event or to register as a participating agency, please contact Alexandria Willingham at  (707) 408-1027 or awillingham@ccyoso.org.
